Our Story
Since 2015, Creative Wellness has been supporting communities across Barking & Dagenham through holistic health and wellbeing programmes. Here is our story, our values, and the difference we make.
Our Purpose
Founded in 2015, Creative Wellness is a community-led organisation based in Barking & Dagenham. We work to address health inequalities and empower individuals and families to lead healthier lives through accessible, culturally responsive programmes.
We take a holistic approach combining prevention, behaviour change, and early support. Our programmes—rooted in nutrition education, physical activity, mental wellbeing, and community engagement—are designed for those who need them most: underserved and ethnically diverse communities across East London.
By working collaboratively with schools, NHS services, local authorities, and residents, we create inclusive spaces where people feel heard and supported. Together, we're building healthier, more resilient communities.

Delivering community-based health and wellbeing support, engaging families in accessible, culturally responsive ways.

How We Work
We support individuals and communities at all stages, with a strong focus on prevention and early support. Our programmes help build healthy habits, confidence, and awareness before challenges become more complex.
Our work is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive. We adapt our approach to meet the needs of diverse and underserved communities, including children, families, and SEN / neurodivergent individuals.
We recognise the impact of life experiences on health and wellbeing. Our programmes are delivered in a safe, supportive way, informed by both professional knowledge and lived experience.
We work alongside communities, building trust and creating spaces where people feel heard, respected, and empowered. Our approach is collaborative and shaped by the needs of those we support.
Our programmes are informed by current research in health, nutrition, and behaviour change, while remaining practical, engaging, and grounded in real-life community settings.

"Attending your cancer awareness session was life changing. Before this, I didn't know how vital cancer screenings are for peace of mind. Due to cultural stigma, topics like cancer aren't discussed in our community. Your session broke that barrier, providing the knowledge and comfort I needed. I'm incredibly grateful for your encouragement and the referral for screening. It's a step I wouldn't have taken without your support. Now I'm encouraged to take control of my health and share this crucial information with others. Thank you for making such a positive difference in our lives."
